So with Christmas fast approaching, I thought I'd take a minute to wish everyone a merry Christmas, and I hope everyone gets something special from Santa....... NOW I would like to post a trial for all of those wishing to get into the Christmas Spirit(s) LOL
My challenge is to make some Eggnog complete with the alcohol, OR non-alcoholic, whatever tickles your fancy, and partake in an Eggnog Christmas drink trial... those of you who were involved in a late night Facebook convo a few nights ago will know where this post started.
Anyway here's the basic Eggnog recipes
For the Alcoholics amongst us -
In a large saucepan beat together 6 eggs and 2 cups of milk,
a quarter a cup of sugar
a quarter teaspoon of salt
cook on low heat stirring constantly, keep stirring and don't let it curdle, or you'll be drinking what looks like scrambled eggs!
when the mix coats the back of a spoon add 3/4 a cup of Bourbon and 1/3 cup of dark rum
stir in 2 more cups of milk
add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
add nutmeg to taste
and serve either warm or refrigerate until cold
Of course you can leave out the alcohol and those who do add the Christmas spirit to their eggnog. Please drink responsibly!
Let me know how your Christmas drink trial goes :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The last 88 palette - 88 shimmer
This is the last of my 88 palettes the 88 shimmer : ( All the palette details are the same as with the others, this one was another aftermarket version of the coastalscents palettes bought on eBay. I'd like to say it was around the $13 AUD mark, but I've had this one for ages, and cant really remember what I paid for it.
This one has much more bright colours in it than the others and contains shades from all colour ranges, so its a bit more diverse and a good way of getting a stack of colours in one go, just to play or experiment with.
Anyway, I'll just get straight to the pictures.
awww, so sad that there's no more 88 palettes left to swatch.... however I do have a 180 pro palette on the way!

88 Metal palette - another swatch fest
Here we go again, this time with the 88 Metal palette. This one I purchased off the coastalscents website, when the 88 metal palette's were first released, I assume you can buy the imitation or non-branded ones on ebay now. Just like the others the pans are the 5c peice size and the colours do powder up easily like the 88 neutral.
However the finish on these is awesome they are gorgeous metallic sheens, with a few of the colours being duochrome, in particular one of the pale pinks has a lovely blue duochrome to it.
So without any more ado, here is the palette and the swatch photos.
Love this palette! next up will be the 88 shimmer :)

88 Neutral palette (another swatch fest!)
Following in the heels of the 88 matte palette, I thought I might as well swatch all the 88 palettes, so next up is the 88 Neutral. Just like the 88 matte it comes in the same shiny black casing, with the pans around the size of an Aussie 5c piece. I believe I paid around $12 Aussie dollars incl shipping on EBay, this was the only palette I had issues with, a lot of the pans were loose on delivery and one shadow was slightly smashed. It wasn't really a problem though as I just stuck down the loose pans.
These colours are mainly sheen's and shimmers, there a few mattes, but those are in the lighter colours. The shimmer/sheen shadows do get a bit powdery on the surface after using, but they are still easy to use and stick well with h addition of eye primer, and as with the matte palette, the mattes are slightly harder to use.
Here we go with the pictures and swatches again!
As you can see from the first picture, this palette is a well used and much loved item in my collection, in fact some of the shades are almost at the bottom of the pan. If you are looking for a neutral palette with a stack of shades, then this one is awesome : )

Colourvue contact lenses in Gold jewel
Another quickie post with the Colourvue lenses, this time it was the gold jewel lenses I ordered in my recent contact lense haul. These ones are very dark, almost black with the gold jewel patterning on them. For some reason the lenses blurred out the edge of my vision when I put it in, now that could be that I'm on the verge of getting a cold or something, as my vision always blurs with lenses on when I'm not feeling well, or it could be the black colouring on the lenses themselves I'll have to give them another try in a few days and see what happens, but for now here is the pictures

88 Matte palette
Last week, the 88 matte palette that i ordered few weeks ago arrived. I purchased it on Ebay for around $10 AUD including the shipping, it arrived well wrapped with bubble wrap and foam around it for protection, not a single colour was broken or loose and I have been playing with it ever since.
The palette is not all matte, there is probably a quarter of it that is shimmer or sheen in the finish. I'm finding the mattes a touch harder to work with than sheen or shimmers are, but the colours are gorgeous, and all I really wanted was a few mattes to juggle with the enormous amounts of sparkle crack (shimmers) that I already have.
so without any more random talking here it is ... complete with swatches, some of the lighter colours just don't show against the colour of my arms, so please overlook that : )
